NVQ Level 2 Team Leading

Who is the course suitable for?

These NVQs are work-oriented qualifications and are suitable for those who undertake Management related activities. They are open to candidates of either gender and there are no entry barriers on grounds of race, creed or previous academic attainment or learning.

What is their purpose?

The aim of these qualifications is to recognise the skills and competences of candidates in the workplace. These qualifications provide individuals with an opportunity to demonstrate the skills and knowledge needed for a career in Management and Leadership. The units encompass a broad range of competencies from the Management and Leadership sector.

What's involved?

The qualification structure describes all the units that are contained in the qualification and how many units the candidate needs to complete to achieve a full award. The Optional and Mandatory units are detailed below:

Mandatory units

  • A1.Manage your own resources
  • B5.Provide leadership for your team
  • D1.Develop productive working relationships with colleagues
  • E5.Ensure your own action reduce risks to health and safety

Optional units

  • C1. Encourage innovation in your team
  • D5. Allocate and check work in your team
  • D7. Provide learning opportunities for colleagues
  • F5. Resolve customer service problems
  • F7. Support customer service improvements

How long will it take to achieve?

This depends on motivation and commitment, however it is scheduled for delivery over 1 year.

Fees

FNTC has access to government funding through the learning and skills council dependent on the time of the year. You need to be 16 to 25 years old to qualify for government funded training. Please apply early to avoid disappointment.
