FNTC is committed to completing a comprehensive training needs analysis matching the skills set of employees against the strategic plan with the aim to produce a functional development plan. A thorough initial assessment and induction programme ensures learners are set up with an appropriate Individual Learning Plan.
Through established partnerships with Connexions, Business Link and local employers, FNTC also recruit and place learners on Apprenticeship programmes into the workplace. Acting as an intermediary, FNTC is proud to have facilitated successful introductions between employees and unemployed apprentices who have matured into well trained valuable team members through the government funded apprenticeship program.
FNTC is committed to updating employers and a comprehensive Employer Pack ensures a thorough understanding of the Apprenticeship programme and learner progression route. Our professional approach and emphasis on quality have been recognised with an Adult Learning Inspectorate (ALI) inspection during December 2005 resulted in a Grade 2 across board.
Accredited with Investors In People (IIP) status, FNTC is dedicated to ensuring that all staff are appropriately trained and follow a tailored Continuous Professional Development plan, ensuring they are up-to-date with the latest happenings.

Service Standards
FNTC is dedicated to delivering an exceptional service to the employers.
Employers can expect FNTC to:
- direct all initial calls to the Business Development Team
- answer the telephone within 5 rings during opening hours (Monday to Friday - 8.00am to 5.30pm), or provide the opportunity to leave a message if out of office hours
- respond to all enquiries and messages within 2 working days. Where a full response is not possible, a new deadline for the response will be agreed
- details will be recorded accurately at initial contact and updated on the CRMS system
- actively listen to employers needs and when necessary act upon information to improve our service and ensure a high quality service is maintained
- suggest another provider or refer the query, by brokerage or utilising network contacts
- provide accurate and clear information on courses that are deliverable with possible progression as well as fees and any payments that are required (if appropriate)
- pass complaints onto senior management staff to acknowledge within 2 working days of the initial contact
- ensure a safe and healthy learning environment is maintained
- deliver high quality training from occupationally competent staff
- all staff to be involved in continuous quality monitoring leading to improvements in quality standards
- give feedback on progress of candidates training during visits and encourage involvement
What FNTC expects from employers:
- To support the learners throughout their study period
- To give employees time to attend any examinations, workshops in accordance to the qualifications studied or assessment visits
- To reply to enquiries from FNTC in an agreed time scale
- To pay invoices within the agreed terms
What we expect from the employees:
- To attend all classes/workshops arranged for the course undertaken
- To complete work on time and to the best of your ability
- To cooperate with FNTC staff and share responsibility for learning
- To show respect for both FTNC staff and colleagues
