The Forest Pre-School are looking for an enthusiastic, caring and positive individual to join them in their team as a Childcare Apprentice. You must be a good communicator, a team player, and love the outdoors.
Responsibilities to include:
The successful candidate will work with children from birth up to the age of 5.
To deliver a high standard of learning, development and care for children aged
To ensure that the preschool is a safe environment for children, staff and others.
To developing partnerships with parents/carers to increase involvement in their child’s development.
To be responsible for any tasks delegated by the Pre-School Supervisor
To complete all academic aspects of the apprenticeship
To provide a safe, caring, stimulating educational environment, both indoors and outdoors, at all times.
To deliver an appropriate play based Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum that enables children to make individual progress. This will involve help to plan and carry out relevant activities.
To help ensure the nursery meets Ofsted requirements at all times.
To understand and work to the Pre-School policies and procedures, including how to deal with child protection issues appropriately and how to respond to incidents, accidents, complaints and emergencies
To plan activities which ensure each child is working towards the early learning outcomes.
Training to be provided:
How is the qualification delivered? Your training will be provided by FNTC Training, one of the South’s leading providers in apprenticeships working across Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and the Isle of Wight. You will be provided with one to one support from an industry trained coach, who will guide you through the course.
Upon successful completion of the course you will gain a Level 2 in Childcare, and Functional Skills English, Maths and ICT if necessary.
